Since the 2010s, collaborative housing has experienced a resurgence across Europe, driven by factors such as housing unaffordability and ecological concerns. In this contribution, we reflect on why collaborative housing models have not been developed on a larger scale in the Czech Republic despite the severe housing affordability crisis. We apply the concept of obduracy to the evidence we gathered through an applied research project focusing on the opportunities for and barriers to introducing collaborative housing in the country. Through the analysis of participatory workshops with citizens and field notes from meetings with local politicians and officials, we reveal the layers of obduracy in the existing individualised housing regime. Encompassing both institutional barriers and collectively shared imaginations and discourse, these layers highlight the ambivalent nature of introducing collaborative housing. It is perceived as a promise to mitigate the housing affordability crisis, yet citizens and public representatives are hesitant to embrace it.

Současné fungování a hodnocení akademického světa klade stále větší důraz na publikace článků v prestižních vědeckých časopisech. Ambicí publikace je představit reflexi, jak je možné publikovat odborný článek v prestižním vědeckém časopise, a pomoci především začínajícím akademičkám a akademikům učinit výsledky jejich výzkumu (mezinárodně) viditelnými a diskutovanými. Publikace je strukturována podle časové logiky, kdy se nejprve věnuje fázi před samotným psaním odborného článku, dále fázi psaní po stránce formální i obsahové a nakonec fázi po psaní, kdy je rukopis již přijat k publikaci.
