Open call: AA Visiting School Barrandien, A Limestone Territory

The Faculty of Architecture at CTU in Prague announces the current edition of the international summer school AA Visiting School Barrandien: A Limestone Territory, organized in collaboration with the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA), one of the most prestigious schools of architecture in the United Kingdom.

The summer school builds on the successful previous year and focuses on the interdisciplinary connection between architecture and paleontology within the Barrandien landscape. The program is prepared by an international team led by Pavel Bouše, Miroslav Pazdera, and Tadeáš Říha, in collaboration with other experts from the fields of architecture and natural sciences.

This year's presentation will take place on May 14, 2026, in room 152/153. Applications will be open from May 14, 2026, to May 20, 2026. This will be followed by a selection process for participants, which will also include the selection of two full scholarship recipients from the Faculty of Architecture, CTU.

This year, the faculty will again support the participation of its students by offering two full scholarships, enabling them to attend the summer school under favorable conditions. This support builds on last year’s initiative and is part of the faculty’s long-term effort to foster international cooperation and encourage student participation in international educational activities.

Detailed information about the program, applications, and the selection process will be published on the faculty’s website.
