Sign up your student project for the 26th Urban Design Award

The department of Spatial Planning of the Faculty of Architecture of CTU has announced a call for student projects to be submitted for the 26th annual Urban Design Award. Until 9. 4. 2021 student projects registered in the 2020/2021 academic year as an urban development project may be submitted. The projects that may be submitted are semester, year or bachelor projects, but you may not submit diploma projects.

Applications must be sent via a web form together with a portfolio ready for A3 printing (PDF format, max. 15 pages + title, 300 dpi). Minimum scope of work: design scheme, resp. principles of solution incl. analytical parts, relevant situations, spatial documentation (perspectives, axonometry).

Due to the widening of the range of co-organising schools, it is necessary to complete the application, including an annotation of the project in English. The language of the portfolio is not specified, but it must be borne in mind that it will be evaluated by an international jury.

Competition prizes:

1. prize– 16 000 Kč
2. prize – 9 000 Kč
3. prize– 6 000 Kč

Award – 9 000 Kč

Deadline for submission of application together with the project: 9. 4. 2021

The competition is organised not only by the Department of Spatial Planning of the Faculty of Architecture of CTU, but also by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU and Faculty of Architecture of VUT in Brno, Faculty of Architecture of STU in Bratislava, Faculty of Architecture of Politect Wroclawska in Wroclaw, Faculty of Architecture of PG Gdańsk and Faculty of Architecture of BME Budapest.

Last year's winners will be announced online 24. 3. 2021 at 1 p.m. at this link.
