Revitalisation of the Former Cemetery around St. Anne´s Church

The proposal is based on the concept of a study for the revitalization of the former cemetery around the Church of St. Anne and its adjacent surroundings in the town of Lanškroun in the Pardubice Region, and focuses on developing a selected part to the level of project documentation for a building permit (construction documentation). The bachelors thesis primarily concentrates on restoring the space and transforming it so that it can be used on a daily basis and meet the needs of the residents and visitors of Lanškroun. The former cemetery area would serve for organizing cultural events such as exhibitions, concerts, open-air cinema, site-specific performances, and other events, as well as for social gatherings. The main principles of the design are a multifunctional space, the solution of entrances, the division of areas, and the preservation of the genius loci with respect to the history of the site.
