Černošice 2050 and The Tennis Club

This masters thesis proposes a new tennis club and public space along the Berounka River in Černošice. The project also includes the development of the wider sports and recreational area and its connection to the town, the surrounding landscape, and riverside recreational activities. The aim of the thesis is to create a high-quality and coherent environment that naturally integrates sport, recreation, public space, and the natural character of the site. An important aspect of the project is also the enhancement of public space in Dolní Černošice and a better use of the recreational potential of the Berounka River. The thesis is based on an analysis of the urban, landscape, and operational relationships within the area. It examines the connections between the railway station, the town center, the sports complex, and the Berounka landscape, as well as the links between both riverbanks and the quality of pedestrian and cycling routes. The project also addresses the permeability of the site, the character of public spaces, and specific environmental conditions, particularly the location within a floodplain area. The masters thesis proposes a new tennis club that responds to the current needs of the complex as well as its future development. The goal is to create high-quality sports facilities together with an open space for everyday use. The proposed architecture is intended to be naturally connected to the town, public space, and the riverside landscape. The design takes into account the historical development of the site, its environmental conditions, and the broader urban relationships within the area. The thesis seeks a long-term sustainable solution that integrates sport, recreation, and public life into one functional whole.
