Relax in the Giant Mountains

The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of a new hotel on the summit of Černá hora. The hotel is conceived not only as accommodation for guests, but also as an open building for the wider public, offering a restaurant, wellness facilities, and an observatory. The observatory forms the symbolic culmination of the composition while encouraging visitors to observe the night sky and the surrounding landscape. Through its massing and colour palette, the design follows the original building and seeks to respond to the character of the mountain environment. Emphasis is placed on integrating the building into its context, both in terms of scale and the use of materials, as well as its overall architectural expression.
