Art foundry Horní Kalná

The foundry complex is conceived as a functional complex that evolves over time. Through gradual interventions, operational efficiency and the quality of the environment and visual experience are being enhanced. The art foundry is a place where sculptures are cast in bronze; artists come here not only from across the country but also from abroad. The complex is open to the public to a certain extent; artists visit to monitor the casting process of their works and sometimes stay for a few daysboth for the sculpture and for the beautiful surroundings. The design reinforces the existing connection between "inside and outside." This connection stems from the nature of the work, which takes place partly outdoors, weather permitting.
