Revitalization of the Zlíchov Railway Engine House Site: Steam and punk

The project focuses on the revitalization of the railway engine house Zlíchov site. It is located in Prague 5 Smíchov and it is an island surrounded by rivers of traffic. It is a technical heritage and a site filled with old locomotives and railway cars. There is an association whose primary activities involve the repair, preservation, and maintenance of historic railway carriages. Nearby there i salso the MeetFactory, which is an arts center. The concept is trying to thematically connect these two buildings by using motives form the railway environment (colorful locomotives, steam) and motives from art and street art (involvement of artists and citizens). At the same time, the design aims to create a public space and a place for both local residents and visitors from afar.
