Annotation

The corner of Trocnovská and Husitská streets represents one of the historically most distinctive sites in Žižkov, which was defined for over a century by a unique feat of engineering the so-called "straddling bridge" was a key component of the Prague railway hub and formed an iconic industrial gateway to the district. The proposed residential building directly builds upon this heritage; instead of the former barrier by the railway, it offers a sensitive healing of the street frontage while fully respecting and integrating the historic pedestrian path. The project transforms a former industrial node into a vibrant urban space that bridges the memory of the site with contemporary demands for high-quality living in the broader city center.
