The proposed residential complex consists of three interconnected apartment buildings, labeled A, B, and C, whose urban arrangement responds to the surrounding development and terrain configuration. The main conceptual intention of the design is to provide direct access to each apartment from the exterior environment, eliminating the need for conventional enclosed corridors while creating open circulation and living spaces exposed to fresh air. This solution gives the buildings a distinctive residential character with a high degree of privacy and autonomy. The composition of the masses is intentionally articulated and gradually rises toward the roofscape.
The complex contains a total of 10 residential units, each of which is unique due to the dynamic and fragmented floor plan configuration. A significant architectural and environmental benefit is the orientation of every apartment toward at least three cardinal directions, ensuring above-standard daylight conditions and enabling effective cross ventilation.
The finished floor level of the ground floor is elevated by 1.1 meters above the existing terrain. This height difference creates both a visual and psychological barrier, ensuring privacy for the ground-floor apartments from the adjacent public space. Entrances to the ground-floor apartments are accessed directly from the street through recessed stair volumes.
Between buildings A and B, a main circulation staircase provides access to a shared residential terrace, which also serves the apartments on the second and third floors. Beneath this terrace is apartment no. 10, accessed from the intermediate landing of the main staircase. Building C differs from the other structures through its vertical circulation core complemented by an open staircase carved into the compact mass of the building. Apartments on the second and third floors are accessed from this partially open circulation space.
In terms of vertical organization, the first and second floors contain standard single-level apartments, while the third floor accommodates duplex apartments extending into the fourth floor. These units culminate in open views toward the roof structure, exposing the load-bearing timber elements and adding a strong sense of verticality to the interiors.
The material and color scheme supports the architectural concept of natural integration into the environment while clearly defining private and shared zones. The façades are designed as ventilated façades clad with GFRC panels in a light grey ivory ferro light shade. Exterior walking surfaces are finished in polished concrete with a larger aggregate fraction, creating a visual effect similar to terrazzo. Window frames and entrance doors are designed with triple-glazed insulating glass set in dark green aluminum profiles in the RAL 6020 color tone. The shared terrace and exterior staircases are designed in monolithic reinforced concrete with a non-slip finish combined with subtle metal railings. The roofscape is defined by the continuation of the façade cladding material.
