This bachelor thesis is about a new polyfunctional building in Týn nad Vltavou. The project changes an old, unused parking lot into a city park and a new building. This building helps the city because it offers services that people need. The building has three floors and different uses: a public café and a study room on the 1st floor, coworking offices on the 2nd floor, and a fitness center on the 3rd floor. The main inspiration for the design was mold. Molds have an interesting beauty, colors, and organic shapes. From this idea, I used three main motifs: hairiness, colors, and change. "Hairiness" comes from the lines we make when we draw quick notes and sketches. You can see this as a pattern on the facade. The facade is made of perforated metal, that changes its expression under different lights and angles. The colors are important mainly in the interior. For example, the café uses the colors of the city logo. This idea creates a welcoming place that connects people and completes the center of Týn nad Vltavou.
