Plasy - Sechutice landscape farmyard

Barbora Stinglová

Annotation

The project deals with the restoration of a historic farm in Sechutice in southwestern Bohemia, whose origins date back to the 12th century. The aim of the design is the sensitive revitalization of the dilapidated area and its new functional use in the spirit of connecting tradition, sustainability and contemporary needs. The new content of the farm combines three functions – equestrianism, accommodation and agriculture. The area consists of four separate buildings arranged around a central courtyard. The dominant feature is a five-story granary used as a museum of granaries and agriculture. Opposite the granary is a barn, where I am designing a woodcarving workshop and a storage. Two elongated buildings are designed as stables and apartments.
