ZUBRNICE - LETTERS TO JULIANA
Award
Annotation
Four buildings are growing on the vast plot of land – an adapted historical farmhouse, a garden gazebo complementing a fragment of a wall, a renovated fruit kiln and a new residential building – creating a layered whole in which history is imprinted on the present like letters on paper. Glass in unconventional shapes, stone and wood form places of shelter and openness. The museum building provides space for a café, a gallery, a library of Sudeten authors and an observatory, as well as three apartments. The residential building offers family living and minimalist senior`s living. The preservation of the original fruit trees on the plot is also a key point.
