Spectrum: Modernization of the Orionka Deport
Annotation
The modernization of the historic industrial complex is based on preserving the original massing and characteristic elements, such as the longitudinal hall volumes and the distinctive steel structure with a pitched roof. In its new state, the main hall has been sensitively opened up and brightened, creating a spacious exhibition gallery. This seamlessly connects to a café and an acrobatics center. Within the same longitudinal volume of the main hall, a coworking space has also been integrated, utilizing the open steel roof structure to maximize spatial connectivity and natural light. The administrative area is situated in a quieter, more separate volume, directly linked to the main operations. The modernization respects and highlights the building’s original industrial character.
