LIFE OF JABLONEC SEA

Jablonec sea – an exhibition jewel, a beloved place, a phenomenon. The Mšeno Reservoir is vital to the city of Jablonec nad Nisou. It protects the city from water, but above all gives it space to breathe. It is a place of meeting, rest, and movement, a boundary between the city and the open landscape. Yet every popular place has its fragility. The reservoir is alive and heavily visited, but is it already too much? Its capacity is nearing its limits, and growing pressure risks the quiet loss of important values. We therefore explore relationships between transport and calm, development and nature, and space for people and other inhabitants. We protect views and highlight places where seemingly “nothing happens,” proposing small, careful interventions so people can be part of it.
