Domažlice Historical Shooting Range - Scouting Institute and Library

Emma Ripplová

Annotation

The project focuses on transforming the historic shooting range building in Domažlice and its wider surroundings in response to the absence of a natural center and informal meeting places in the Hořejší suburb. The aim of the design is to restore year-round social life to the area and renew its accessibility, which is currently limited by barriers in the territory. A multifunctional community hub is being created here, connecting various user groups – parents of young athletes, scouts, and students. The added value of the design lies in the cultivation of a neglected area and the creation of a safe and open environment for the informal development of children, young people, and the general public.
