Vltava in the Flow of Time, Time in the Flow of Vltava

This project focuses on the Smíchov section of the Vltava River and its surroundings. It enhances the permeability of the area, offers new experiences on the islands, and creates a revitalized waterfront. Our proposal breathes new life into the Smíchov Waterfront and its eastern counterpart, the Podolí Waterfront. The embankment on the Smíchov side provides diverse access points, featuring ramps winding through lush greenery and seating steps with views of the vibrant life on the water. On the western bank, adjacent to the new transport hub, we propose a commercial center and a vibrant boulevard designed for both seamless movement toward the river and for relaxing as well. We complete the skyline of the new Smíchov waterfront with three urban blocks, finalizing the street's silhouette.
