Janovská: For people

In the 1980s, a housing estate was built in the northern part of Jablonec nad Nisou, named after the adjacent main road – Janovská. Over time, the spatial structure of the estate has remained unchanged. Only the number of parked cars belonging to local residents has increased. Today, the main street running through the estate has turned into an impenetrable, confusing, and unsafe jungle. There is also a lack of space that would allow residents to spend time outdoors, meet, and build a community. In my proposal, I therefore focus on the people who were somewhat forgotten during the original construction of the estate. I redesign Na Úbočí Street so that it becomes a safe and pleasant thoroughfare. A new CENTER – THE HEART OF THE ESTATE – is also created.
