RecyUpcy pavilion

Designed for a recycling-themed exhibition in Hradec Králové, this project highlights the environmental potential of reclaimed wood. Building on a workshop where we first experimented with furniture made from waste, the installation proves that the irregularities of recycled timber can result in truly unique architecture. Constructed from discarded pallets, the structure contrasts a calm, solid front—symbolizing the balance of books—with rhythmic, dynamic sides that draw visitors inside. Situated at the entrance of the Municipal Library, it functions as an open-air reading space, showcasing how urban waste can be transformed into a functional and aesthetic asset for the community.
