Annotation
Berlin is a city of scars and layers, where the Czech Embassy holds its ground. I preserve its external form while transforming the interior. Injecting light and air into the heavy mass, I replace administrative cells with an open platform where culture dialogues with diplomacy.
Revitalization extends outward. The forecourt is stripped of traffic and returned to the people. The new garden cites the phenomenon of Berlin's 'Brachen'—urban wilderness—strengthening the connection to the place. The project does not seek a new shape, but refines the existing one. It unifies memory, function, and vegetation into a whole that respects the past while fully serving the present.
