Želvička Multi-purpose Hall

The architectural design is built on the contrast between the enclosed concrete volume of the upper-floor hall and the maximally open, glazed ground floor. The curved facade responds to the irregular site geometry, adding dynamism to the street frontage. While the building respects the height of the surrounding context, it communicates through the contemporary language of exposed concrete. The heavy mass of the hall seemingly levitates above the ground floor, which becomes a seamless extension of the public space.
