POTSDAMN.

We wanted to create a new sportified, greener and unified version of Potsdam’s city center. And we did that by adding a canal that flows through the streets, more green infrastructure, and by designing new spots that shall be enhancing sport activities. By doing all of that, we also reduced traffic on the main street (Breite Straße) and made the space on the road more breathable for all species. One of our other goals was to bring together all sorts of different sport communities, so our design is offering a lot of unique playgrounds for everyone – even for the elderly. In our design we want to connect the city by making new bridges, mostly for pedestrians. The bridges are situated across the whole canal and also across the river Havel that runs throughout the whole city.
