Ponec - Cultural and Dance Center

The project introduces a cultural ensemble with a dance studio, a theatre, and an exhibition space, continuing the site’s historical use as a place for cinema and dance. The design is based on clearing and reorganising the area to create a central courtyard that connects the different functions. The building along the street houses the dance studio, making movement visible to the public, with apartments for dancers located above. The rear building functions as a theatre, where the limited natural light is used to create controlled and intimate performance spaces. An exhibition space is integrated along the side of the site, allowing for flexible cultural use. A bridge connects the two buildings, facilitating internal circulation while also extending the pedestrian route along the hillside.
