REHABILITATION OF THE HISTORICAL SHOOTING RANGE BUILDING

The project is located in Domažlice, in an old shooting range with historical value, now integrated into a sports area. The proposal preserves the appearance of the façades to maintain the original character, while the interior is transformed more freely. A central opening is introduced to increase spatial perception and reduce internal divisions, especially on the first floor, while the ground floor retains more compartmentalized spaces. The program includes a social and cafeteria area connected to the surrounding sports facilities, and exhibition and multifunctional spaces on the first floor. Externally, an existing unused building is regenerated as a roofed, open structure, allowing outdoor activities. Materials such as wood, metal and ceramics create continuity between buildings.
