Between the Reserves

Project focuses on an area in the centre of Příbram located between the railway station and the historic main square, around the Dolejší and Hořejší Obora ponds. The site has the potential to become a new local urban centre, although it is currently shaped by past interventions and transport barriers. The proposal builds on the existing conditions and develops the city’s strengths—its genius loci, access to public transport, and the presence of water and greenery. The aim is to improve residents’ quality of life through high-quality public spaces, better permeability, and the addition of missing urban functions. The design also clarifies movement within the area, strengthens connections between key places, and develops public spaces in relation to green areas and water elements.
