urban park Vimperk

The design of the urban park responds to a currently impermeable and fragmented area that has lost its clear structure and relationship to the surrounding city. The site is composed of heterogeneous functions, including an existing park with an elementary school, technical areas of metal production, residual green spaces used only occasionally, and isolated commercial buildings, creating a barrier within the urban fabric. The main principle of the proposal is the creation of a continuous, open park conceived as a green counterpart to the historic fabric of Vimperk. A newly designed system of paths, entrances, and footbridges unifies the area and ensures its permeability. The park offers playgrounds, sports and leisure areas, flower meadows, and a network of colorful pavilions.
