Despite the fact that the Lipno Dam lies geographically close to Vimperk, there is still a noticeable stretch of road between them. Even so, one steamboat seems to have wandered onto Vimperk’s mainland, as if emerging on its own from an orange sea of ceramic tiles. The concept of the residential building was based on working with fan-shaped geometry, which—together with central symmetry—forms the core of the entire design. The horizontal line of the façade bends into a subtle curve, opening up a tension between stability and movement. Meanwhile, the stepped terraces, together with the large chimney, add dynamism to the whole, playing with shifts in scale.
