HIGH-SPEED RAIL TERMINAL PRAGUE NORTH

Anna Šrytrová

Annotation

Letňany and Ďáblice are located on the northern edge of Prague, where the city is considering building a transport hub with a station for a high-speed rail line that would lead to Dresden. The terminal has the potential to become a multimodal hub that will bring new impetus to the development of a new multifunctional urban district. The buildings of the transport hub, which is adjacent to Cínovecká Street and a new square with a tram stop, are shaped like a comb, with longer "teeth" bridging the tracks. The terminal itself is a footbridge that houses a mall and connects both sides of Cínovecká St. and the P+R parking lot. On the ground floor, there is a shopping arcade that connects the individual functions of the building , as well as the square with the terminal.
