Affordable housing is a major issue in contemporary society. More and more young people are moving to Prague for work, study, or simply to be at the center of events. With high building density in the city center, the vacant land on Rohanský Island offers an opportunity to respond to this challenge. Block C.1 marks a new phase of development based entirely on CTU student proposals, aiming to create a new, fully functional urban district. Together with buildings by Filip Eisenkolb, the C.1 ROH buildings form a barrier protecting the new residential area near the Vltava River from the busy Rohanské nábřeží.
