Annotation
We perceive Náměstí Republiky as a wound in the 'Fortress Ring' (Hradební korzo), which our proposal seeks to heal. By inserting two architectural volumes, we create two new intimate squares: one in front of the National Bank and another by Kotva. These squares are centered around water features. Between the new buildings, the volumes open up at the street entrance, creating a small piazzetta. This urban solution establishes a cohesive 'Fortress Ring'—a cultural boulevard that we further enrich with a kunsthalle and a community center.
