THE RIVERBANK FOR SUŠIE
Annotation
The primary goal of the project is to restore the relationship between the town of Sušice and the Otava River by prioritizing public space over automobile traffic. By diverting transit to the opposite bank, the embankment is reclaimed as a generous recreational zone that allows the town to reconnect with the water. The design also rehabilitates the urban fabric by restoring the building line in place of formerly demolished rear tracts. New development consolidates the fractured blocks and follows the historical parcellation with a modern formal language, bringing a clearly defined order back to the waterfront.
