Standa Standa – chair with a lift-up seat

I designed a solution intended for environments with a large number of people, where lack of space and complicated movement during mass seating are common issues. The construction is based on a typical situation in which it is necessary to let others pass to their seats. Thanks to the flip-up seat, a seated person can stand up directly within the footprint of their chair, without stepping into the aisle or disturbing the surrounding space, which significantly simplifies movement. This space-saving principle makes it possible to increase seating capacity in areas where conventional layouts would require a reduction in the number of seats.
