Janáčkovo nábřeží - renovation works & interior design

The project focuses on the sensitive renovation of an apartment located on the fourth floor of a historic residential building on Janáček Embankment. The design is based on respect for the original architectural structure of the early 20th-century building and aims to restore the qualities of representative urban living while meeting contemporary requirements for comfort and functionality. The layout is cleared of inappropriate alterations, re-establishing a legible division between day and night zones and fully utilising the potential of orientation, views, and balconies. The interior combines the historic character of the building with a contemporary architectural language, emphasising proportion, light, material restraint, and timelessness. The result is a refined, high-standard urban r
