Living begins with small things. To live does not only mean having a place to sleep, but a place to stay – to settle, to belong, to return to. It is a fragile state that forms slowly and can easily be lost. On a Libeň hillside, these situations unfold between the apartment, the balcony, and the courtyard. Two buildings: one long and calm – a line; the other smaller, bent. Not a closed block, but interlocking volumes following the urban structure. The city is taken seriously, yet a sense of countryside remains. The ground floor forms “drawers” between house and street – a laundry, studio, workshops. A quiet inner courtyard. Habitable roofs with two playgrounds, for small and large people. Plaster, railings, trees, flowers, small gardens. Prague: ochre, pink, blue. Yellow tiles.
