House of Hope

The project addresses the design of a shelter for abused women and mothers with children on Hviezdoslavova Street in Chodov, on the site of a former parking lot. It responds to the lack of capacity of such facilities in Prague and makes use of a favorable location within a housing estate with good public amenities and transport connections. The building completes the urban structure and is part of a wider social complex with social housing, enabling a gradual transition from crisis accommodation to independent living. The project also includes a ground-floor café and a protected green inner courtyard, providing a safe and dignified environment for a new beginning.
