Revitalization of Podbaba

Podbaba today is primarily a transportation hub, a place people pass through quickly, but rarely stop in. Our project therefore focuses on the development of the Podbaba area in direct connection with the railway stop and tram network, seeking ways to bring life back to this place. The core theme of the proposal is working with the transportation infrastructure, which currently divides the area and creates barriers. The aim was to organize what is now a busy and confusing space so that everyone can find their own sense of calm, even while being in the middle of a transport hub. The goal of the design is to transform Podbaba from a mere transfer point into a place where it is worth staying.
