RECONSTRUCTION AND EXTENSION OF ACCOMMODATION BLOCK 6

The Strahov Dormitories form an extensive university campus primarily designed for student accommodation. This proposal focuses on their revitalization, aiming to respond to contemporary demands for the quality of student living and the overall dormitory environment. The design is rooted in respect for the building’s original structure, which served as the starting point for further development. During the design process, I explored various solutions with the primary goal of enhancing resident comfort—both in terms of the living units themselves and the quality of communal spaces and the campus atmosphere. When working with the building's volume, I sought to diminish the monotony of the existing development while maintaining continuity with the original structure, ensuring the new form of
