R.O. HOUSING

Rohansky Ostrov is a former industrial and logistics site located on the right bank of the Vltava River, north of Prague’s historic center, between Karlín and Libeň. The site offers the advantages of excellent transport links while also providing access to natural spaces along the Vltava. The western building OF THE PLOT DI, an asymmetrical hexagon, visually opens up the block and so creates a pleasant atmosphere in the central park. The interior layout is designed around a single central stairwell, naturally lit by the roof, which serves nine apartments per floor. The ceramic tiles refer to the city’s architectural heritage and intensely distinguish a semi-public ground floor composed of commercial or shared spaces from the visually more discreet inhabited upper floors.
