Strahov Triple Block

The Strahov dormitory complex is increasingly affected by the age of its buildings, a shortage of accommodation capacity not only for students, and interiors that were not designed for long-term living. This project aims to revitalize three of the twelve blocks—numbers 5, 6, and 7. The renovation includes a new room layout with private bathrooms, made possible by narrowing the currently wide corridors. It also enlarges shared kitchens, adds dining areas, and creates new spaces for recreation and social interaction. The planned extension increases capacity to 1,440 residents across the three blocks and provides improved rooms, including new units between the blocks designed for long-term accommodation.
