The residential complex 3×L is located in the suburb of Kadaň. As part of a new urban plan, the river has been restored and apartment buildings are being built around it. My buildings are situated at the main intersection. Facing the street, they form a solid edge, while towards the river they open up into a quiet pedestrian zone with greenery and an active ground floor. The buildings combine strictness and openness. The exterior façades appear solid and rigid at first glance. In the atria between the buildings, they open up into galleries, which serve as a communal space for residents. Life happens there. Joy and sadness. Silence at sunrise and the sounds of children laughing. The galleries offer people a return to a way of life that cities lack. And that is their undeniable advantage.
