Annotation

The project explores resilience as a process responding to uncertainty, crisis, and change. How can architecture help a city withstand shocks? For me, resilience is not only about endurance, but about learning to live with instability. The project aims to improve a specific location by responding primarily to the needs of the place rather than to form. The design is situated in Vysočany, an area shaped by tension between transport infrastructure, brownfields, and new development. I design a sports center as a space for movement and social interaction, serving as a community facility in daily use and capable of adapting its function in times of crisis. It is complemented by residential buildings with active ground floors that support daily life and mediate between public and private space.
