TERRASSENHOF

The design is situated in the area of the barracks in Most and follows the principles of group urbanism, based on the interconnection of new local centres. The size of the current flats and the absence of their own exterior leads families to move to satellites. I respond by offering affordable family living in greenery, inspired by the typology of Viennese hoffs. To support life in the yards and with the awareness of a smaller commercial demand, in most places housing is to the ground. Complex is composed in a seven-meter slope, where the terrain is overcome by maisonettes and terraces. A buffer of reserved front gardens frames the community garden, playground, ping-pong and places for rest. The sawtooth figure of the house turns to the south and arches with a passage to the new square.
