The cemetries of Lipnice and their connnections
From the imperial prints from the first half of the 19th century is evident that in the area around the church of St.Vitus used to be another cemetery. There could be buried fallen soldiers but also peasants. The flow of time, and especially the fire that burned down the castle, church and much of the city, has taken away this significant piece of history. The church was built new, out of the bricks, but the rest of the cemetery was buried and remained under the surface of the soil, hidden from the human eye.
