VE(K)SLÁK - Litoměřice Rowing Club

Ve(k)slák is a design proposal for a rowing club on the banks of the Elbe River, combining sports facilities with a distinctive architectural concept inspired by movement across the water’s surface. The elongated structure is derived from the proportions of a rowing boat and establishes a linear presence along the river, serving as a landmark through its colour scheme. Open views reinforce the connection between the interior and landscape and promote interaction between sport, the river, and public space. The symmetrical steel structure emphasizes the building’s technical character while evoking the silhouette of a sailing vessel in dialogue with the water surface. The principal objective was to create a contemporary space for the rowing community.
