Old Town Hall

The old town hall in the center of Česká Skalice is gradually falling into despair. To make the place more lively, I am introducing a new educational and cultural program. The University of the Third Age and spaces for local clubs are located in the historic section. A multifunctional theater hall, designed as a new extension, along with a café on the first floor, revitalize the garden and transform it into a vibrant public space. I connect these two volumes with a publicly accessible corten walkway, which offers new perspectives of the building, the historical roof truss, and the square. The Town Hall is thus divided into day and night operations, ensuring its continuous utilization.
