MILOŠ FORMAN SQUARE

The proposal focuses on the transformation of Miloš Forman Square, situated in immediate connection with the Fairmont Hotel and Pařížská Street. The main design principle is a tilted slab that responds to the height relationships within the site and creates a new public space for gathering, resting, and everyday use. At the same time, the slab covers a level containing commercial spaces. At ground level, a colonnade is proposed as a flexible public space intended for a variety of uses. It can provide support for markets, cultural and social events, while also serving as a covered area for meeting and everyday urban life. The proposal is conceived as an architectural study wich ambition is to create a lively, accessible, and flexible public space.
