Residence for the Finnish Ambassador

The aim of the project was to make use of a unique site with panoramic views of Prague and to design a residence for the ambassador that combines a representative diplomatic function with living in close connection to both the landscape and the city. The proposal combines a private area for the ambassador’s family, a public area for diplomatic meetings, and operational facilities. The architecture is based on the principles of the Scandinavian lifestyle and the work of Alvar Aalto. The house responds to Finnish architecture through its horizontal expression, gently sloping roof, natural wood materiality, and generous glazing with panoramic views of Prague.
