The Hidden garden in red
Annotation
Brave New World
Upper Lumbe Garden raises the question of what role a landscape near Prague Castle can play. It is neither only a tourist destination nor a traditional park, but a space for everyday movement and staying. The paths follow the terrain and offer different ways to pass through or pause, making the garden feel open and naturally connected to its surroundings. It also serves Prague Castle employees as a place for rest and daily encounters. Productive gardens, greenhouses, vineyards, and fruit trees create a relationship built through repeated use. A strong red motif connects architecture and landscape, becoming most visible in autumn. The garden remains an intimate place discovered gradually. But what would happen if it were one day connected to the Lower Lumbe Garden?
