Pohořský potok catchment

This project builds on a broader collaborative work dedicated to the Novohradské hory and transfers its vision and concept to the specific territory of the Pohořský potok catchment. At this scale, the values and challenges of the area are mapped in greater detail across three dimensions — landscape, urbanism and infrastructure, and development potential. On this basis, a shared concept was developed that differentiates the approach to individual settlements according to their character, identifies abandoned villages as sites of cultural memory and soft tourism, and proposes improvements to permeability including cross-border connectivity with the Austrian side. This concept forms a shared framework for the subsequent landscape and urban design projects.
