Composed of destroyed

This studio project presents a conceptual design for three parks measuring 20×40 meters, located in Sarajevo. The project focuses on the very process of conceptual development. Through sketching trees in connection with the city, designing individual elements based on a working model, and, unusually, placing the site into its context only as the final step. The design is based on a reference photograph of a Sarajevo wall scarred by shell impacts and gunfire. From this destruction, the project abstracts compositional principles using the tile pattern as a grid for spatial organization and the trajectories of bullet holes as the main lines of the design. The parks, designed with this concept, do not create a reverent memorial to the past, but rather transform the site into a beautiful space.
